Colfax School Site Governance Council

The function of the School Site Council is to develop student academic improvement strategies and allocate funds for these efforts. Each fall we elect 5 new parent representatives to our 20-member Governance Council, comprised of 10 parents and 10 teachers, administrative, and classified staff. The Council meets one afternoon a month and addresses important issues, such as student achievement, school safety, earthquake preparation, and budget. Governance parent members sit on curriculum, staff selection, and budget committees. We urge you to run for Governance and have a direct voice in the policies at Colfax.
